Wear and tear on a one ton truck is usually less than on smaller trucks due too the size of the running gears.....some of the things too look for as in all trucks is play in the front ends, steering play. Dont be afraid too crawl up under the truck and look around either.......make sure there are no rusted cross members or frame repairs. Ask the owner about records of oil changes and service work done too the truck. Look at the tires and make sure they are good for the price of the truck, duallies arent cheap too re-rubber. I've had 3 of them now and I wont go back too straight trucks ever. Ya just cant beat them for pulling trailers and hauling heavy loads. Mine is an 01 Dodge 4 wheel drive with a cummins and automatic.......so far so good....I'm luvvin it.
