Guys one and All, Last part of last week we had basically 4 in of rain area wide. First real rain in over 18 months! Any way I was over in Temple Texas today and the Mesquite Trees are in full new leaves. The last trees to leaf out here are Mesquite and Pecan The Mesquites seldom ever get snookered By late frost so it is safe to plant tomatoes and peppers now, So the old timers tell,, Guess I am closer to being one now than not @ 52. Spring is marching northward as we speak. you boys in the upper latitudes just hold on a short while still it will be knocking on ya'll door just right shortly. The local Corn Farmers finished up corn planting last week just ahead of the rain we got. Later, John A.
