I just use a 6 volt only; no combination; with automatic shutoff and never bother to unhook battery. Have to charge at about every 3 days of use on average. Other charger no longer have was a combination 6-12 with automatic shutoff. When it I think starts getting low I just hook up the charger and leave it on till I am ready to use the tractor.
