N.Y. does have a smoking ban. Some bars did go out of business. All saw a drop in business after the ban took effect. I don't know if business picked back up or not. I suspect it did but I doubt that the recovery was 100%. Most smokers just go outside now. Me? I no longer go to bars since the ban I stay home where the beer is cheaper and I can smoke if I want. So there is at least one customer who is no longer a customer. I hope some non-smoker picked up the slack.
