I've got an Avery A that I'm starting to think about starting before I start a restoration. Anyways, it has a little 'regulator type' box mounted on the generator that has two coil/point assemblys inside. One (I assume) is the relay to prevent the battery from discharging through the generator. Is this correct? The other probably controls either the amperage or the voltage (I'm guessing) but obviously not both. Which one is controlled? It is an autolite regulator. There is a little plastic control knob on the outside of this regulator that you can turn, but I'm not sure exactly what it does since the tractor is not running. Any help out there? Thanks.
