Being from Nova Scotia, and Phillip being from Prince Edward Island, I can sure understand that the animal cruelty laws here are so very lax indeed.
As an animal lover myself, as I am sure most farmers are, otherwise they wouldn't be in the farming business, it irks me to see someone getting away with treating animals in such a disgusting manner.
As Canadians, we are often painted with the large brush that encompasses seal hunters and abortionists as well as killers of innocent Taliban (if there is such a thing), not to mention exporters of that most despicable of products, Canadian Snow, to our neighbours to the south.
My point being, if someone wants to equate animal cruelty to abortionists, I fail to see the connection. If anything, the people who commit animal cruelty should have been aborted at birth. Maybe that's a better way to argue such a point. I just don't see why a post about inhumane treatment of dairy cattle should be linked to a political stance on abortion. That's better left to a separate post of it's own. And as far as my opinion on abortion goes, well, that's for me to have and keep to myself. I don't try to force my opinion on others, and I'd wish for no more than to be treated to the same respect by others.
