Seems if you can't get anything but dialup, it's a good step up.
If you can get _anything_ else, else is always better.....
There is latency, or delay, for the long disatance the signal has to travel, so downloading a file is real fast, but communicating back & forth in little chunks takes real long - doesn't work for Vonage or other such things.
Then they have penalties for using too much bandwith in a day or month, depending which one you get. Throttles you back to dialup or worse speeds for the rest of the period.
Sounds like it is better than nothing, but with a grain of salt.
