Actually, I already sprayed last weekend without thinning and it worked reasonably well, but seemed a bit on the sputtery side. It did basically work, though. I discovered an interesting thing in the process. As I was just finishing painting, it was starting to rain. I brought the pieces into the garage. Some had places where raindrops had hit and caused a bubble, so I took a heat gun and heated the wet paint in an attempt to flatten it out. This worked fairly well, so I went over all the pieces with the heat gun to sort of bake out the moisture. A few hours later, I needed to work in the shop, and the pieces were reasonably dry (still tacky)and it had stopped raining, so I put them back outside. Well, it rained that night, and the next morning, my sheet metal had this very nice wrinkle effect- it looked intentional- and very even. I don't know if just the rain on the tacky paint did it, or if the heat gun played a role. If this had been a piece of shop equipment I would be very happy with it! But it looks pretty bad on a tractor, so I am giving it a light sanding and trying again.

The front end center pin bushing was worn also so I ask that they replace it if they had time. Well, that’s wha
