I emailed Dan directly and we've been corresponding. I mentioned to him the main problem is getting out the main brass fuel nozzle which has 3 tiny holes drilled into it from the side, and these are invisible of course when the carb is assembled with the nozzle in place. A carb guy told me (through a contact in the YT forum) that you've got to use heat. He said to cook the bottom (bowl) casting in a hot oven (he suggested a gas grille which I assume is a propane or gas Barbeque). He said he made his own furnace which cooks the casting to 'glowing' at 1200 degrees (which you'd never get out of a barbeque). He then says as soon as you can handle it, the nozzle will come right out with a deep socket. He also said it can be done with a torch but you have to be careful not to fry the brass nozzle (or jets). I've never tried that particular method (yet), but those fuel nozzles are a challenge to remove that's for sure.
