Why does he need to time the pump it should never need timing if left alone. If it was removed then you better get a manual or someone who knows how to do it. Its not a job for the do it yourself mechanic. The manual on my L285 Kubota says to take it to the dealer to be Worked on. If you install it incorrectly you can ruin the rack adjustment and the engine may run away on you. Personally I wouldn't touch it with a very manual at my side and I have been doing this stuff for 40 years. There are just many different types and setups on these systems. Walt
