Still working on the MF 175 rebuild. Stopped by the machine shop to check out the progress on the machine work. The head had been cleaned but not surfaced. The tech showed me there were "rings" worn into the cylider head surface from the sleeves. They weren't too deep, the resurfacing will take care of it. What causes this? It was only on two cylinders, almost like the sleeves were moving up and down and beating on the head. How can I make sure it doesn't happen again? The engine was very worn, you could move the pistons in the cylinders side to side with a finger. It was running before I took it apart, beleive it or not! Thank y'all for the help.
