Not sure slow races mean much other than that you've got a well-tuned motor and that you know how slow it can be pulled down without stalling. We have a guy with a JD730 gas that takes the slow race at our show every August. The other competition will have completed the course, put their tractors away and be enjoying a dog 'n beer while this guy is still creeping down the track. Though about as exciting as watching grass grow, seeing (and hearing) that 730 run that slow is cool in an odd sort of way....

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house.
