My dad's got a 1979 Ford pickup with around only 50,000 actual miles on it. It was always broke down so finally got put in the junk line. I think the only original part of the "drive train" that hasn't been fixed or repaired is the transfer case. Engine was wore out at 25,000 miles, transmission had major problems as did the front end and rear end. I think the lemon law might have applied to this vehicle. No, it did not get very hard use either!! I would like to see this farm sale. I would think it would be easy enough to see if there is something "fishy" going on at the sale It is probably an honest sale as there are people out there that have equipment that very seldom ever moves.
