There is a safty factor with brush hogging - without live pto, you will want an overriding clutch ($40-75 item at a farm supply store), or the brush hog acts like a big flywheel & will keep your wheels moving when you push in the clutch. For baling, you'll be a lot happier with live. If you plan on snowblowing, you need live. As Fudd said, there is the live hydraulic issue as well, when it comes to using a bucket. --->Paul
