It also makes a difference if it is a single gear PTO or a 2 gear PTO or a 2 gear with a geared adapter If it is a gear pump, hold the part of the pump that does not have the drive shaft next to your stomach with the drive shaft pointing up. If the large port or suction port is on the left it is a clockwise rotation pump. If on the otherside it is counterclockwise rotation.
