turn the shaft like bob said and you should find out real quick. the first concern that popped into my mind is the horsepower requirements of a pump that came off a truck. does your garden tractor have enough oomph to twist it when the pressure builds up? i have a 20gpm gear pump direct coupled to a v4 wisconsin that i estimate to have 25 hp and the pump will kill the engine if the pressure gets in the 2000 range. have fun with your project.jim
