I have converted an 18hp murray garden tractor into an offroad wheelchair. I need real advice. I would like to quieten it down as much as possible, and have heard that a lot of the engine noise results from the intake system. I have also heard that a cheap, and effective way to quite intake noise is to install a regular exhaust muffler (backward) in the intake line. Does anyone know if this will work? Has anyone actually tried it?
