Well, that's probably good news that nothing leaks when you move those around. Those are cotter pins, they are there I assume to keep mud dobbers and other foreign objects out of those holes. A leak there would indicate rear oil seal on the engine and front oil seal on the transmission failures. Unscrupulous sellers sometimes plug those holes to mask leaks. As for the 4 bolts, are they on the pan or are you talking about the 4 bolts holding the clutch inspection plate on?
