A lot of tandom tractor hitches were made by farmers. My dad and I built a hitch to hook two tractors togather about 1963. Now having said that there were some local machine shops building them also. Ficklin Machine Shop (the wagon box people from Onarga, Il.) made some, also M & W in Gibson City, Il. and Puzey Bros. at Fairmont, Il. may have made some also. One farmer had an articulated frame with both front wheels removed and you drove from the rear tractor that I think was built in In. Most tandom hitches you drove the front tractor (front tractor had steering wheels, rear tractor did not). I do not have my old hitch but I do have two Ficklin hitches not mounted. Hopefully some others will be able to add to this discussion. If you wish I will try to post pictures this weekend. Armand
