The pump could be bad but maybe not. Make sure the oil reservoir for the hydraulic system is full. Then, with the tractor running, loosen the line on the discharge side of the pump and see if the pump will prime. It may take a few minutes for this to happen. Loosen the line just enough to allow any air in the pump to escape and if the pump primes, then tighten the line back up before you shut it down. Make sure the pump isn't sucking air on the supply side. rw
