I also don't like them. If I wanted use the tractor for a dirt track race, then would consider them useful. Would also be ok for a loader application; ie, loader-backhoe machine. From what I've seen, many operators sit and uselessly "blip" the foot throttle apparently with the thought it then sounds more akin to a racing machine, or somehow it makes them more productive.
