My mom is a 76-year-old widow who doesn't go to bars, doesn't go to McDonald's because she can't afford it, volunteers as a 4-H leader and works at the local senior citizen center several days a week. She gets by on a small pension from Dad's years as a part-time postal worker, plus Social Security. Her home, which she shares with HER 97-year-old mother, is heated with oil, which she can barely afford.
And for her, a $40 coupon for ANYTHING is a Godsend.
