Mike, Head off or on, I've had luck getting the block HOT with water, and hosing CO2 into the pistons, then turning crankshaft backwards;clean bores behind piston and lubricate. Place something against the flywheel to keep a constant pressure on the turning direction (2 pipes in the flywheel holes, bar between them and hydraulic jack lifting the bar)
