i think she doesnt have a case, anything that old is assumed to be sold, "as is where is " unless otherwise stated in writing. it sounds like the guy is a wipped puppy and his wife is a overbearing B--- id ask your attourney just to be safe, but if they cant even come up with 50 bucks how would they retain a attourny to sue even if they did have a case? i think she's hoping you'll panic and completly restore the truck to like new condition at your expense, to avoid a lawsuite, if the truck is impounded they wont be able to retrieve it if they don't have any money, and it will probably wind up getting sold for salvage by the tow company
