E.C. if you havn't had this one wire alternator charging before or it has not been used for a while.....Remove the dust cap from the regulator and touch a wire from the positive terminal (on back of alt.)to the either of the spade connectors to excite the regulator. You should only have to do this once. Don't forget to reinstall the dust cap. After you have done this rev. the engine after each start to get it to charge.
