When instaling a lock set on a enterance door, I wonder how many of us know how to set the strike plate in regards to the to the little cylinder and the larger one. The parts that slides into the strike plate, on the jamb.
I'm cranking on this issue do to the post below on locking the office.
My experiance has been latley that locksets are made over in the famous country not known for quality.
We have had locksets fail after a few weeks of operation. Just had one the other day that was installed in November, and binds up already. We repaced it with a new one because the original was purchased at a big box store, and parts were not interchangable with our local brand names. Seems the original ones were about fourty dollars, can't remember for sure.
I would guess most locksets are installed incorectly?
