Why do they cast in Japan and ship them all the way to Dayton for machining & assembly??? That makes no sense at all. John Deere has done casting work for GM in the past and transportation costs have to be less. Does someone at GM need a wakeup call?? I agree with Gold Leaf Deere, give the Jips nothing. I have never and will never buy their junk. I never thought much of GM diesels anyway, but I did buy an 08 Chevy pickup with a gas V6 and love it.
