I have seen five of the processions going up the highway. At Canadian Forces Base Trenton there are hundreds for people lining the road to honor the fallen soldiers, along the 401 between Trenton and Toronto (High of Heroes so named for the soldiers)there are people lining almost every overpass for the 120 mile trip. Firemen, police officers, EMT's, flag bearers from the Royal Canadian Legion branches along the way and average citizens with flags waving, lights flashing, people standing at attention saluting these brave young people on their last journey. Regardless of weather conditions they are always there. It is the least we average people can for these brave young men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us and our way of life here in North America. I have felt very proud to be Canadian while at the same time feeling very sad watching all this trasnpire.
