Two cylinder diesel Deere's, some two stroke detroits, Listers, Petters etc. Generally they have a Bosch, CAV, Lucas plunger style injection pump(s)operated by camshaft lobes. Anything with an oil pump will grind to a halt in short order. The exhaust will now blast out the intake system. One day in front of the entire crowd while tractor pulling. I was in too high a gear and lugged the 720D too low before pulling the clutch. She got her revenge by kicking over backwards. And covered myself with dirty aircleaner oil.
