I see that someone has beat me in number of joints replaced but not for long. I have had both knees and both shoulders replaced all in the last seven years. I'll be 77 here not too long. It is mt opinion that the doctor makes the difference in recovery. The first knee was done and took me 3-4 months to walk really good. The both shoulder and other knee were done by a different Dr and recovery time was in weeks, not months. I have a son who is an orthopedic surgeon and he says the Dr. is the most important thing. After the first knee I had him find me a Dr he thought was best and it worked out so much better. Shoulders were the least problem for me. Really research you Dr. and always get a second opinion. Most insurances cover 2nd opinions. Henry
