I learned last month I need to shop around. We've had the same propane supplier for 14 years, and in December the sold me propane at 4.50 or so a gallon. I week later I find out my neighbor got it for 2.16 from the same dealer. My neighbor says he always calls and negotiates a price. The good news is I got reimbursed when we called up and complained. What's that all about, I assume they were honest and the price was regulated, guess not.
