My dad has had both knees replaced over the last 25 years, he's doing fine with them. Mom had her first one replaced 4 months ago. She's doing good too. they are both 81 now.

I read years ago that the hip was the easiest joint to replace and the shoulder was the hardest. The shoulder has a lot more motion involved as compared to the hip.

Seen a lot of my uncles with knee and hip replacements and you can tell which ones didn't do their exercises as they were told to do. So be sure to do them.
