Ok...here is the deal...another one of my great ideas.... About 5 yrs. ago, I built a logsplitter to fit on our 1838 case skidsteer. Mounts to skidsteer like any other attachment, the auxillary hydraulics run the ram. I have a wedge welded to the end of the I beam, and the hyd. ram has a flat plate on the end of it. I built this when I was splitting and selling alot of firewood, but quit selling wood the year i built it. Set by the barn till yesterday, dad wanted to try it. (he heats primarily w/ wood.) Mounted it on skidsteer, hooked up hydraulics. worked ok on smaller (24" and smaller stuff) but the bigger chunks it didnt have the "arse" to do it. Not enough hyd. preasure i assume....Any ideas???? would really like to make work as I wanted...all ideas appreciated...thanks in advance, Mike.
