The bypass valve is located in the center housing on the lower right side. To check to see if it is bypassing, remove the round plate on the left side that the pto shifter goes through. While tractor is running and trying to lift a load, there will be a lot of turbulence in the oil. If there is no turbulence then you need to check else where. Another possiblity is a blown head gasket on the pump. Also, are you using 80/90 GL-4 or GL-5 oil?
