The early 4000 Fords (62 & 63?) were styled like the 100 series & had 4 cyl. I thought the 2000 & 3000 also were that way, as I thought I just saw one, but my book disagrees with me... I think backhoes are hardest on the middle of a tractor, the casting by the transmission gets the most force on it. Most compact tractors need a specail brace on the tranny if you get a backhoe anyhow. You will want a loader on the tractor to balance the weight of the backhoe. You can sort of chain the 3-point down to the tractor, otherwise it will rise up on you as the 3-point doesn't lock down. --->Paul
