Are you talking about the blade spindle assembly? If so they are only a little over a $100 dollars. I've replaced quite a few of them on woods belly mowers, such as the L59, L306 etc.
you get the shaft with bearings and housing already assembled. Just bolt it to the deck and install your blade then you're ready to go. Can't beat it. Don't waste your time trying to take it apart.
