If the tractor has adequate horsepower and good power steering at lower RPM's, you can run it at just over 1/2 of the 1000 RPM speed and idle along while baling, just DO NOT forget and rev it up.
You certainly wouldn't be the first to use this "work around".
Check with the NH dealer. There MAY be a kit available to make the BALER compatible with a 1000 RPM PTO.
As shown in the other post, Hub City Gear makes speed reducers/increasers to mount on the tractor PTO to go either way, but the cost is nearly $2000.00
