ref. C.H. Wendel, Nebraska Tractor Tests, shows 620 propane as 8.1 to 1 compression ratio, gasoline not listed, all-fuel as 4.78 to 1 compression ratio. I beleive the 630 was not tested as they used the same engine as the 620's. I haven't checked the Nebraska tractor test lab web site but have been told many of the test results are available on line in there complete form. hope this info is of some value to you LeRoy

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
