2. If good spark make sure there's gas in the tank and it's turned on.
3. If all checks good pull the plugs and see if they are wet or dry. If wet I usually try to dry them with torch then sand blast them to clen them up. Then spray them with air or WD-40 and redry them.
4. Give it a pull start if it still won't fire.
If you use any kind of sand paper on the points you will have to close them with a clean piece of note book paper between them and pull the paper out slowly to clean the points. Do this at least 3 times. You will see the dirt you remove. If you don't clean them the points may short out or fail prematurely.
These are just the basics I have mentioned. One may have to look deeper into it if needed with some knowledgeable background.
