Emergency room service required to be provided to fix emmediate problems- but if you have cancer and no insurance like one guy I know(same cancer I got treated for)- you must provide money up front or wait awhile- possibly die, he ended up trying for $50,000.00 loan for treatment secured by farm.. The welfare medical policies cover some children fair, but adults with some assets are stuck with own bills. I know a couple that when husband started work and wife needed some throat work were told they made too much money to qualify for county assistance- if divorced she could get assistance. US medical system regarding payments is a bit confused. RN
