New pair of governor gears will probably run about $700,and you usually end up replacing some bearings and weights also. Real easy to put $1200 plus into a governor. Just a guess on my part, but I've gone thru one on my A and one on my B in the last year. Paul

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house.
