If there's so much demand for the big pickups, why is Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant, where they build the Super Duty trucks [F250-F550] shut down until sometime in January? Why are their storage lots around Louisville, KY full of trucks?
Seems to me there are a LOT more of the "bigger trucks" than there is demand for them currently.
As far as "bigger vehicles" being the focus of the Big 3, haven't you seen a Ford Focus? Or a Chevy Cobalt? They're out there, they've been on the market and available for several years, there are plenty of them, and they're still not selling. But then, latest figures show Toyota, Honda, and Nissan sales are down as well. Hmmm...maybe they're too focused on building big Camrys and Sedonas???
