There's probably about 400 lbs in the bed, so I would call that empty. I also drive sanely, and stay at or slightly below the speed limit. Milage is lower with a trailer, of course. It averages better than the 2000 7.3 that I traded in on it, which is surprising, considering all the government regs imposed on the '08 diesels. With the exhaust half plugged by the cat and DPF, it's an engineering marvel that it gets any milage at all. Just so the wacko's won't see any smoke. Imagine the power and milage that could be achived if the government would back off.
