With it about 15 below outside I was thinking about how we are told we should buy LED Christmas (Holiday if you are PC concerned) lights. We are told they are much more energy efficient. For lights in the house, the inefficiency means the "wasted" energy gets turned into heat instead of light. This is winter. We aren't using air conditioning. Just how is this wasted energy supposed to be getting wasted? I better get off my soapbox now.
