The other indicator is the type of transmission and where the shifter is. If the shifter is in the dash it will be before serial # 15258 and was only made the first two years (1960 and 1961). Trans will be close to the same as a 420 or 430 two-cylinder crawler. Ground speeds will be: 1st - .85, 2nd - 1.25, 3rd- 2.39, 4th - 3.92, Reverse - 1.43
Newer 1010s have a different trans - more like a 350 - and the shifter is down low between your legs - and ground speeds are different:
1010 serial # 15258 and up: ground speed at 1500 RPM 1st - .85, 2nd - 1.16, 3rd- 1.99, 4th - 3.92, Reverse - 1.16
