To name a few...... Agriculture so populations could take the time to develope science & literature instead of always roaming while looking for food. Fire and the wheel of course. Medicine & science to treat injuries & disease. Birth control so we don"t overpopulate like rats. With 12 children all you are going to work for and have no time for anything else than food, clothes and housing. No extras.
