Snow, Cold, Wind. Things have slowed down to a crawl for everybody here. We have a layer of snow on the ground, maybe 4 or 5 inches, but it isnt frozen under it, yet, so we have mud covered by snow right now. It is 20 and windy currently with a low expected about 12 by morning. There are fields of corn to harvest yet, probably the most corn I have ever seen snowed on in my lifetime. Field work is about done for. I did see a neighbor putting on NH3 in the snow yesterday, I was suprised, and sorry I didnt have my camera. Right now I'm just taking care of the animals and trying to keep warm and dry as much as possible. Weaned the calves this morning and ground a load of feed for the cows before the snow started today. Might slip over to the sale barn tomorrow and see how things are going. Tomorrow is also the last day of the Peoria farm show. How long till spring? bill
