You can pull the trees over and pop the stumps out of the ground at the same time. Shallow rooted trees are the easiest. Pine have a real long tap root but the rest of the roots are close to the surface and rather easy to "pop" out. Use a snatch block (pulley with a hook) tied to a stump or base of a tree and run a wire rope from your tractor, through the pulley and to the tree (about 10 to 12 feet up). With the tractor going one way and the tree falling a different way, you should be fine. To pop the stump, lay a big log at the base of the tree so the weight of the tree falling will leverage the stump up and out of the ground. Once you cut the top off a tree, it makes the stump so hard to get out of the ground, you WILL need a backhoe or big dozer to remove them. You can save yourself the expense of the dozer and the cost of logging if you can do this yourself.
