I"ve got a 21 M H tractor with a cont. 4 cyc. eng. It has running problems after years of service. It will start up and maybe die instantly or maybe run for 15 or 20 min. I took the carb apart and cleaned it. It gets enough gas but dies just like you turn the key off. I checked the coil and it dosent even get warm. Most coil problems seem to make the coil get so hot they will burn your fingers.I got it to run for 4 or 5 min. and pulled the dist cap and the condenser was also cold. Checked the wireing and it seems to be ok at any places that it hookes up to the tractor and where it goes through hold down clips.I am going to switch coils with another 6 v coil tomorrow. Does anyone else have any other thoughts on this matter? Thanks Sam
