As you probably gathered from my replies, I still haven't seen the plane. They are out of town for Thanksgiving this week. Did find out it is pretty bleached out paint wise, but he would refund my money if it wouldn't pass annual. Might be time for me to get on AOPA, I am a member, and check out insurance and financing for it, I don't have 10K in the bank which is what I am sure will be needed to get it current without even adding NAV-COM or any updates. He did say they have a NAV-COM for it, I will install it, but plan to buy a SP-200 from Sporty's, which is a hand held. I don't trust old radios, bad enough trusting the old gyro, etc. Not legal for flying, but going to use my handheld GPS as a back up also. My wife is in favor of it IF I can jump thru all the hoops to get it and myself current also. As of right now, my honest chance of owning it is probably about 10 percent. Would have been 50 percent or better if we hadn't hit a deer this fall and had to borrow to get a "new" car. 3 years from now, will be out of debt except the house payment, but right now my ratios are wrong.
